What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa

I am currently 21 years old and got an M.I.P. in Iowa almost 2 years ago. I was under the impression that after two years this goes off your record, is this true? Or do I have to petition to get it expunged? I am beginning the process of graduate school applications and am concerned that this will negatively effect my applications. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.

The Iowa court system has an online database if you want to see if your name appears. Just run Iowa Courts Online through a search engine and the website will be listed.
