I'm writing on behalf of my cousin, so please bear with me as I try to get the info together....
He rents a 2 bedroom for 750$ per month...from what I understand he WAS on a lease, which expired and made him a month to month...
The roof in his place leaks heavily during every rain storm and floods the entire place under an inch of water...
He has notified the landlord (verbally only I believe) who said it would be fixed...it never was...
He notified the board of health who say they cannot help as he is no longer on a lease and is only month to month.
What is the next line of defense here? I told him he should have all transactions and discussions with the landlord in writing so that he has proof he's notified the landlord before...
but I'm unsure what to tell him next....
thanks in advance..
Sera
