What rights and responsabilities are covered by the Massachusetts Rental Housing Association's (RHA) Condominium Addendum.

Would signing this addendum obligate me to condominium fees?

How binding is my signature on this addendum if I have never been given a copy of the Condominium documents to which this addendum refers ("Tenant expressly covenants and agrees to perform all obligations set forth in said Condominium documents with respect to the operation and maintenance of the Premises and otherwise applicable to the unit owner thereof. . . .")?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about MA law, so my comments are merely observations.

1. Your signature is binding even if you haven't been gven a copy of the relevant documents. You were very foolish to sign it if you didn't have all of the information. Were you waiting for someone else to bring them to you?

2. Judging only from the language of the amendment, I would think that you agreed to perform all of the obligations (which would usually apply to the homeowner) with respect to the OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE of the Premises. I don't see that payment of the homeowners association dues (although it is sometimes called "maintenance" fee) would fall under operation and maintenance of the premises.
