What is the name of your state? CA

I bought a printer 2 month ago. The original price was $80.00 with a $30.00 mail in rebate.
I followed the instructions and mailed everything.
2 weeks later, I received a postcard saying my purchase was not made within the requiered dates.Of course they were lying. I called them and complained.
They apologized and said they would mail my check the same day.
It's been 4 weeks and nothing.
I am really mad about this practice !
I have the feeling they never had the intention to mail any check at all and that the real price for that printer was indeed $80.00 not $50.00 as advertised. If I had known, I would have bought another printer, I bought that one because it was cheaper.
I think it's a fraud.
Can I take it to a lawyer for a class A action ?
Thanks for your help !

Most mail in rebate offers can take at least 8 weeks for check to arrive. I've had to wait that long (and it actually said so in the offer) on many purchases.

Before you sue someone because the check is late, have you called? They weren't necessarily lying to you either. Human beings process your rebates, and people make mistakes, especially when they are paid next-to-nothing. Calm down!

thank you for your interest and replies

It's been more than 2 month since I mailed my rebate.
I want to remind you that they already sent a postcard denying my check and when I call to complain, they promessed the check would be sent the same day.
I think I've been more than patient and followed their rules.
I just don't like this way of doing business and lying to their customers.
Why not saying the truth ? It's a fraud and i'll never get that check.
I'm not saying they are all like that, just that it happens and it's either you just shut up and accept it or do something about it so it doen't happen again
