What is the name of your state? NY

I'm fighting custody in two states (Kansas and NY). I have a NY attorney who occasionally goes to court for me. I found out that he has negotiated deals without my knowledge. When I asked him what happened in court, he emailed me back a vague statement that "it's sometime necessary to take a few steps backward in order to move forward." Then I find out that he agreed to a new custody hearing. I already have sole custody, so the best I can do after spending more attorney money is to come out the same. Thats assuming I win. Few dads are lucky enough to get sole custody very often. I have requested the transcript of the hearing so that I can see first hand what he agreed to. I can't get a straight answer from this guy.

What constitutes an attorney making decisions without the consent of the client?
