As an owner of a timeshare in California, am I allowed to review or get a copy of the contract between my association and the management company?

California's Davis-Sterling act (Civil Code §1365.2.) says that a member (not sure about timeshares) of a common interest development (such as a condominium) can inspect the association's records including the management contract. Do you know if your timeshare is governed by Davis Sterling? Why not give it a try?

Thank you for the information. I’m pretty sure timeshares are included under the Davis-Sterling act, which I understand is within the State Attorney General’s authority.

I have been told, by the management company, that the contract is proprietary and not for distribution. However, I will go to the Board of Directors and ask and hopefully they will not ignore my request (like they usually do).

I am not one to go to a government agency unless I have tried everything.
