What is the name of your state? Florida

I need some advice. I live in Florida. I have Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. I presented Human Resources with a medical note detailing my condition. I indicated that this was in case my condition triggered, and I needed to leave. I have worked for the company for 3+ years. I am the Director of Product. I am a 57-year-old Hispanic male. All my performance reviews have been top-notch and high-performing. No negative reviews, no disciplinary issues; I have had no issues with the company. I have taken on additional responsibilities. I manage a team of 8 people.

My new manager has been firing people and replacing them with his own people. When he speaks to me, he is condescending and hostile, and pushes me or my team to the point of stress. In my condition, it screws me up, and my date is shot. In kind words, he is a jerk. Human resources is aware because others have complained.

My question is, when my manager is a jerk, unrealistic targets, and being difficult trigger my medical condition. In my field, there is limited employment, so it's challenging to find another job.

I would like to obtain any suggestions

The problem is that it appears you work for what is wryly known as an "equal opportunity jerk". He's not nasty to you because you are Hispanic, or 57, or have a medical condition. He's nasty to you because he's nasty to everyone. And that is not illegal. It would be nice of HR to make him play nicely in the sandbox with everyone but since he's not breaking any laws, they're not required to.

It is neither illegal nor uncommon for a new manager to replace existing staff with his own people.

While I understand what you are saying about the difficulties of finding a new job, that may prove to be your best option.

Super annoying!

@mlopez60120 Pick a username and use only that. Using 2 names causes unnecessary confusion.

I agree with your comment that my boss is "equal opportunity jerk". However, the company handbook indicates the following: Anti-Harassment Policy – All Unlawful Harassment Prohibited, persecution and do not tolerate toxic behavior is not tolerated. The company policy book covers a few other topics. My concern the easy way is for me to look for another job I been looking for over 90 days. The company policy book points some of my challenges but my manager being an "equal opportunity jerk "goes against policy. I been working over 30+ years and have had 3 jobs I can ignore; I can improve, I can discuss issues and try to find a resolution. but if my "equal opportunity jerk" boss continues, how can I stop it aside from confrontation. I am concerned that Managment and Human resources will do nothing, and it will be on my back as I am the problem. I understand that "equal opportunity jerk" keeps going this is a clearly a violation of company policy.

What you can do is keep your head down and your mind focused only on your work, at least until the job market improves and you secure a position with a less-obnoxious boss.

One of the problems with that is that what you are describing doesn't seem to be "unlawful," and "persecution" and "toxic behavior" are vague enough terms to be meaningless.
