This takes place in Florida. This manager hires a temp employee who has been witnessed using the company's internet to view porno during office hours. He repeatedly emails myself and others in the office this type of porno materials to the point that it is uncomfortable for everyone. The manager was prewarned about the character of this individual and furthermore, he is not qualified for the position, however, the manager likes him and hires him despite the lack of skills, experience and most of all decency. The favoritism is so open and obvious, that the manager covers for this employee's failure to do his job; furthermore, the viewing of porno sites continues after he is made a permanent employee. The whole scenario is such that I decide to leave my job after 4 yrs because my health was being affected by all this. I felt like I was being viciously mentally attacked by the manager since she knew we were all against this person being hired. Since I have left, an HR person is in place and he has documented my testimony along with others regarding this person and the manager's actions. However, the intimidation continues on the part of the manager who wants to keep this creep on the payroll. Is there anything any lawyer can do about this situation? I feel compelled to help those who are still in that hostile environment. Is there something I can do. I also want that manager and his pet fired from the company for unethical behavior and the breaking of company policies.
