i live in nevada and married eight months ago.i owned a home i had aquired with my deceased husband which i sold approximatly two months ago, the money that i received from the sale of this non-marital property i purchased a truck for 22,000 thousand dollars and put both our names on the title but i can prove the truck was bought with the money from the non-marital property. i am now wanting a divorce. will the truck be considered marital property ?

My response:

Nevada is a Community Property State. Simply stated, by placing your husband's name on the title, you have "gifted" the truck to the marriage and now your husband is entitled to half of it's value.

Good luck to you.
