When I apply for a marriage license in Las Vegas, will my previous marriage and divorce be mentioned? Do they check your previous history? I was previously married in California and have never mentioned it to my current fiance. Will all of this pop up at the County Clerk's Office?

My response:

Already starting a new relationship on a "secret" foundation ?

The license application will ask that question and you must answer truthfully, and under oath. Divorced applicants are required to know month, day, year and state of the divorce. It is at this point that your fiance will read the information and find out the truth. So, don't you think that now would be a good time to "come clean" ?

If you lie on the application, and should your fiance ever find out about your past, your upcoming marriage will be voidable on the grounds of fraud. You'll also be in big trouble with the State for having lied under oath.

Good luck - - - you're going to need it.
