Married Internationally..Need Divorce Advise

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I got married in Egypt and never filed those papers with the US embassy. I would like to know if my marriage is valid in the US? If it is valid here, how can I get a divorce? I was married for almost 5 years and lived outside of the US in that time. I just returned about a month ago.

When you have lived in your current state long enough to establish residency, you can file for divorce there.
