marrige annullment

iowa married on the 29th of march and on the 2nd of april threw my husband in jail for demostic abuse can i get my marriage annulled and how can i do this cheaply he already cost me enough this is his 2nd and my 6th we never bought anything together except the bills he helped occur and the broken promies's he made to repay my family back as he stated he also stated that he had a large amount of cash comming and he also stated that he would never abuse me and put my family in a financal hardship by promiseing to have my bond money and attorney bills paid if i was to marry him he has no money comming i am the real sucker here he wants my trucks and my house all things i owned before the marraige and he did not get out of prison until the 24th of march all of this year

Are you saying, this is your 6th marriage and you married the guy 5 days after he got out of jail? Your trucks and house is safe, he has no rights to any of them.


Marriage may be annulled for the following causes:

1. Where the marriage between the parties is prohibited by law.

2. Where either party was impotent at the time of marriage.

3. Where either party had a husband or wife living at the time of the marriage, provided they have not, with a knowledge of such fact, lived and cohabited together after the death or marriage dissolution of the former spouse of such party.

4. Where either party was a ward under a guardianship and was found by the court to lack the capacity to contract a valid marriage.
