REPOST-
Michigan- I recently married a permanent resident of the US. My spouse has been living abroad on an overseas assignment but now must return to the US. We have submitted a petition for me to get a green card, but the waiting list is almost 5 years long. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can go to the US with him? I can go there initially using the waiver program, but that only lasts 3 months.

Any help is appreciated.

In a couple of months the INS will be starting new visa's.. K3/4 and V1/2/3 .. Do a search on the internet for information on them or go direct to the INS.

I am going to have the same problems due to a friendship, that might turn into something serious (marriage). I would like to know more about your case and, if you agree, to exchange some information through private e-mail. By the way, she is living in Michigan, too. Andreas
