I have an outstanding auto accident claim. My lawyer wont handle the case anymore after the Ins. Company denied the claim. What Iwant to know is can I take the matter to small claims court myself? Although his original offer to the ins company was considerably more, would it be reasonable to settle for less? Would the courts take such a case? Can I have the case in my city even if the ins company is 20 miles a way? I believe I have a valid claim. One more year on the statue of limitations btw. All the bills are paid, and my last question is, can I claim pain and suffering in small claims?
