I have a paper related to Procedure for Eviction. It states that, after receiving a Notice to Quit, if a landlord accepts any money from the tenant, Landlord must give a receipt, clearly marked "for use and occupancy only", if the landlord does not want to renew the tenancy.

Does anyone know where this might show up in Mass General Law or has anyone had any experience with this. Any quick response would help.
