What is the name of your state? Texas
I have been employed by a large corporation for the last several years. We are an oil related business and lay-offs are frequent.
I am 6 weeks pregnant and want to know if their are laws regarding being terminated while pregnant.
Thanks:confused:

Yes there are. You can be terminated IN SPITE OF being pregant. You cannot be terminated BECAUSE you are pregnant.

The law requires you to be treated the same as any other similarly situated employee. No worse, no better.

Beth is entirely correct (like that's any big surprise). Nothing in the law says that an employee who is pregnant cannot be laid off. It only says that she cannot be selected for layoff BECAUSE she is pregnant.
