I was charged with DUI/DWI blew a .07. It was incredibly stupid on my part and it will never happen again.

My lawyer asked me to go do an alcohol evaluation and said I'd probably be in the 12 week DWI program so I did one in the city thinking that it would be convenient. After going to the intake interview the counselor said i should do the 26 class program and that I could only take one class a week. Then when I got back to work after signing the papers there he informed me I had to choose one class time that does not fit my work schedule.

Is it possible for me to cancel this program and find a more convenient one that fits my schedule? Can I get reavaluated? Will this counseling center view this as something bad? Or worse yet report it somewhere?

Keep in mind I haven't been convicted and I'm doing this before my court date. I don't want to escape responsibilities but I also don't want it to create a problem for my job. When I did some further searching i found a facility that would work with my schedule.

Nothing is binding upon you prior to trial. Your lawyer made the recommendation, you should ask him about what he had in mind.
