hi

i have had a custom kit car built by vaydor-bodykits, located in st petersburg , FL. total cost was 26.5k (interiorfully fitted -7k, exterior fully fitted -18k and door hinges-1.5k)

i provided the donor car (already registered in my name)

the deposit of 4k was paid aprill 2015 for my build to start in feb 2016 and be done by may 2016, but it didnt begin untill aprill 2016 and slow progress was made multiple times i contacted Matt (CEO of vaydor bodykits) and he said it was nearly done, when i had someone that lives local go round and have a look it was no where near done. I then said i would pay a extra 12k if he would finish it in 3 weeks (agrement on september 13th 2016) he said he would get someone to do it for 10k so i agreed this would mean the build would be finished 5th of October 2016. He then asked for a futher 20k down payment which i paid. (24k paid so far)

4 months later the car is finished and he wont release it until i pay the extra 10k that i do not owe as he did not fulfill the deal of finishing in 3 weeks
there was no contracts only emails

i offered to pay the 2.5k but he refused
he has told the guy he had do the work to hold onto it untill the 10k payment is given.

what am i legally bound to do. thanks
