I want to sell it. It has to be repaired in order to do that. It's an old transit bus that's been professionally renovated; basically an RV. Could be worth $20-$40k. I guess my conundrum is that towing it and having it repaired somewhere else could cost $10k. I suppose if I was successful suing I would at least get that back, but that's a big if. I guess what I'm hoping for is an answer on my likelihood of a successful lawsuit.
I don’t know how successful you would be with a lawsuit.

I also don’t see many options available to you for your bus, either. You apparently can’t leave the bus where it is, and you can’t drive it, so towing the bus appears to be necessary if the mechanic can’t or won’t repair it.

I guess you could ask the mechanic if you can park the bus on his lot with a For Sale sign on it and see if you can sell your inoperable bus that way.
