My situation is unusual with a troubled teenage son and meddling family. I've had behavioral issues with my son for most of his life which have escalated to really aggressive behavior and drug use. I let grandparents talk me into letting him move in with them in TN which has resulted in alcohol abuse and arrest for felony at age 16 while in their care. He couldn't come home with me due to aggressive behavior and history of abusing his younger brother so was committed to state's custody in TN. I'm working with DCS in TN to get him transferred to TX for treatment so we can participate in family therapy. My problem is that his grandparents WILL NOT stop meddling with my father being the worst saying things like "you should've been able to go home but your mom wouldn't let you", "this is too much punishment for a 16 yr old boy", and "your mom's turned her back on you". Since I"m in another state, I can't visit him and haven't been able to call him to refute these statements and he thinks I hate him. Is it possible to get a restraining order in situation such as this? If they continue with this my fear is once he is in treatment it won't be as effective if he continues to be fed these lies.
