I live in the state of Tn. My suit is going to mediation.
If I retain an attorney on contingency, does he pay for my half of the mediation or do I pay for my half. And also
when are you required to pay for mediation. Before or after it occurs. Thanks for a quick response.

If you already have an attorney, you need to read your agreement to see who pays the 'costs of litigation'. If you, then you are responsible for payment.

As to when to pay, the mediator determines that, but it is usually in advance. If you have an attorney, then there could be a 'courtesy' agreement allowing for later payment.

Summary... read your agreement, ask the mediator.

thanks so much for your reply. However sir we have problems. I have not contract or agreement in writing with said attorney. He seems to be riding the fence with me and I have spoken with Federal agency who say to divource him but sir I go to mediation on July 5th. I am totally disabled and he has not told me or made known to me what to expect about anything. But thank you for your reply. Looks like I am at his mercy.
