there are those that say a medicaid asset protection trust is a fraud. the statists / do-gooders / ‘group thinkers’/ status quo people think so. I really don’t care what they say or think. I want to know if the trusts work against ‘asset spend down’. (I get real excited when I talk about freedom.) anyone – please advise me.

my thoughts: example: man #1: had a good job, half a dozen children, big car (new, of course), mortgages the home and car, spends like a dam fool, enters the nursing home with no assets to spend down. he wants someone else to pay for his nursing care.

man #2: same job, is responsible: no children, drives an old car, saves every dime, pays cash for his house, has the God given right to pass his assets on to his children (he saved his money because he loved his children). now the government wants to punish him for being responsible. he must ‘spend down’ his assets when he enters the nursing home. he also has to help pay nursing care for man #1.

I recognize this ‘asset spend down’ as a violation of individual rights. more of the ‘same old’, ‘same old’ distribution of wealth. punishing the achievers! rewarding the irresponsible!

what do you call a party supported by the AARP, NEA, and ABA (coalition of groups) - a party of power and control – no principle? NOW THIS IS REALLY FRAUD.

what do you call a government that taxes to the max, borrows to the max, expands at an insatiable rate, and lies on a daily basis? FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD.

blondie, you weigh in on this now. JETX, you too. you sir, with 25,000 posts, have too much time on your hands.

I and the other members do not assist posters with criminal activities. Spending down is Medicaid fraud and that is a crime which is why you received no response to your other thread. I am not responsible for the poor planning of others.

I call this America and the American Way. If you do not like it, then run for political office or move to another country.
