What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
Hello,
I have researched this issue, but have been unable to determine an appropriate answer or path forward. I hope someone can help.
My grandmother has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and requires full time nursing home care. We are preparing to apply to Medicaid, but we are aware of the asset limits, and are unclear on what is countable and what is not.
She has two burial plots (companion crypt) located in NM - her spouse is deceased, and doesn't plan to use either one. They're estimated value is $15k for both, but repeated attempts to sell them at lower values have been unsuccessful.
I'm looking for advice whether these plots will be countable, especially considering she has two.
