can medicaide take a deceased persons home and land for repayment of nursing home costs in florida?

Florida law doesn’t allow Medicaid officials to take the deed to a person’s homestead property to help settle a debt. Likewise, they can’t go after repayment of Medicaid expenses from a surviving spouse, until after she dies.
