What is the name of your Arkansas? I have question to ask. My father died 23 March 2003 of cancer. My father had a big farm, his Testament was probated in July 2003. But the Title of the Farm is still in my father name. My father had alot of Medical Bills, I am afraid the Hospital will put the farm up for sale soon. The Hospital did the Lien on the farm in July 2003, It that a little late to make collection on the farm. It as been 15 months now, what the case. My quesiton, if I pay my father Medical Bills off, will I get my father farm back because I paid the debts off. I know this sound silly, I was cut from my father testament. My stepmother and brother did'nt pay the debt off yet. They was in my father testament. I want to keep the farm in the family, I hope that someone can help me with this question. The Hospital had a lien on the farm over 15 months now, the farm might be up for sale now to pay my father debts off. Thank you

If you pay off the debts then they will have no reason to sell the farm. Debts of the deceased are paid out of the estate. If his Will was probated and the hospital failed to make its claim against the estate within the allotted time limit, then they should not have had ANY claim against the property.
