Hope this is the right category. I used to see a doctor and now I don't nothing bad happened, just changed for insurance reasons. While I saw her she was really cool about accepting the amount that the insurance company paid her, even though she is out of network It was just something she decided to do, but we didn't sign anything.

A few months ago I received a bill from her office that was for a few dates of service from over a year ago. Isn't their a time period in which doctors must bill you and wouldn't the previous several years of billing (her accepting the amount the insurance company paid without seeling further payment) be evidence of our arraignment?

Yes, there are laws about sending bills within a certain amount of time, but it's definitely longer then a year.

Prior arrangements have nothing to do with current bill. Call the office and ask them why you're suddenly being billed when previously she wrote off the difference.
