I'm a former military wife who was referred by a military hospital through the Tricare system to a civilian clinic in NC back in 1997. The claim was never paid by Tricare/champus for a few reasons: originally filed in wrong state which I submitted a timely waiver and refiled only to find out last week the clinic the tricare office referred me to was not even in the system to be referred to! I discovered this medical bill is on my credit report showing as under collection a few months ago when I began the process of purchasing a home. I've now got a negative credit report for a a procedure I had done due to a referral from the Tricare office. As of this date, they have no intentions of paying this debt. Is there ANYTHING I can do????

Get them to pay. Write to your congressperson.
