What is the name of your state? Indiana

I recently went through a tuberculosis scare...off work for 5 weeks while being tested, etc. My boss, the general manager of the restaurant, told all the other managers, and several employees that I may have TB. Some of the employees then told some of our guests about the situation. Although I authorized the health department to speak to the GM of the situation, I did not authorize him to speak to anyone else. Is this a HIPPA violation?

gralmy, you have posted this to the wrong forum. I know you are not asking about defamation, you are asking about the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

I think the your post belongs in either the Insurance or Employment Forums.

Good luck!
