i need advice. almost 2 years ago i received medical treatment and had insurance. the clinic kept calling me for a copy of my insurance card which i gave them on 4 seperate occasions. the hospital kept billing me for the visits and i again went in so they could make a copy of my insurance card. my insurance says they never received bills from the hospital. now my insurance says they will not pay because it has been over a year since my visit. the hospital has sent my account to collections. am i legally obligated to pay for this bill even though i had insurance at the time?

Yes. You are ultimately responsible for all your medical bills, regardless of whether you have insurance or not. A bill your that your insurance does not pay is your responsibility.
