What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA. I just received my medical records. I noticed that on the reports, there is mention that I am a Gay Man. I am not or never have been Gay. I was never asked my sexual orientation during my visits to the VA Medical Center. What recourse do I have with this matter? I see this as a slanderous statement.

Make sure it's actually YOUR medical record.

You can write a statement correcting the error and request that it be made part of your medical records as an addendum.
