What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California/a few others.

I'm not sure where to put this so I thought I would put it here.

My husband (now ex) was seriously injured in Kuwait in 2005. Due to his injuries I dropped out of college to take care of him. I was then using my GI Bill and am now applying to have my GI Bill delimiting date extended. The VA is requesting more information and medical record information. I have asked my ex for those records, solely the ones that are from the 05 injury, nothing else. And he says he is "iffy" about giving me those records.

Is it possible to go through the courts to get those records or am I at his mercy for getting them?

You may be at his mercy for getting them due to the fact that those are HIS records and you are not due them. Unless your divorce dealt with this issue.
