What is the name of your state? arizona.
I am writing this on behalf of a friend who doesn't have access to a computer. My friend had been with his girlfriend for over 8 years. after 8 years they finally got married (2-14-03). 2 months into the marriage she cheated(Apr. 2003). 2 months later(6-29-03) she confessed to the affair and left my friend for another man (not the one she cheated with).
He brought pretty much all the property into the marriage, the house etc. she left the state on Aug 12. She racked up a $750 cell phone bill that my friend recieves the bill for. He took her "her" bills a week before she left the state. At that time the bill was only $400. She went to Penn. She refuses to pay the bills she incurred. She won't talk to him at all. He is ready to move on. but he doesnt know where she is except that she is in Penn. How can he file for divorce if she wont cooperate. he has tried to call her a few times about bills etc. but she won't return the calls. They got Married in Las Vegas & lived in Az. Any advice for my friend?? He just wants to move on.

~~~Does he or doesn't he know where she is? This is what you said: " She won't talk to him at all. He is ready to move on. but he doesnt know where she is except that she is in Penn. How can he file for divorce if she wont cooperate. he has tried to call her a few times about bills etc. but she won't return the calls".
You say he doesn't know where she is.....and yet he tried to call her and she won't return his calls? Which is it?
If he hasn't already, cancelling the cell phone might be a good place to start...
He has since cancelled the cell phone WHICH WAS THE ONLY WAY THAT HE KNEW OF TO GET AHOLD OF HER. Now that the cell phone that was IN HIS NAME THAT HE PAID FOR is off, he has no way of getting in contact with her. He would have filed for divorce before she left but he found out on a fri aternoon and she left town on sun. Is there anyway he can file with out knowing where to serve her at?? someone told him she had to be in the state. any HELPFUL advice would be appreciated.
When the other party's location is unknown, I believe notices are posted in newspapers. I'm sure that info is available here. Maybe this "bump" will get you an answer if all the threads aren't hijacked by the weirdos...
