What is the name of your state? IN

When I started business, I used my personal vehicle. I kept mileage records. A few months later I bought a vehicle for the business. My mileage log does not show which vehicle I used, just mileage and purpose. The title to the new vehicle shows the date of purchase, so all log entries before that were from the first vehicle. Would it be easier on 4562 to put all the mileage to just one vehicle? I ask because I do not have a starting mileage for the first vehicle, so it will be difficult to answer "total other personal miles" for that one. Or will the IRS give me crap because of the date of purchase? Besides, the first vehicle, in 2007, was used for much less than 50% business use, so those miles are probably worthless anyway, and I know that the answer will probably be that, since the mileage deduction incorporates depreciation, I shouldn't try using the allowance for a personal item. I may have just answered my own question, but I would like to know definitively.

Also, would miles driven to the post office to check the compnay box be countable?
