What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

Long story short I got a DWI a year ago and on probation. I want to join the Military though, prev Navy. Would being on probation effect joining?

I am also Bi-Polar and went to Hillside Hospital about a year ago.(Forced by parents).

What are my options here?

Thanks

You are not eligible for military service while on any type of probation. There is a specified amount of time, I believe 30 to 90 days, that you must wait until after your probation has ended until you will be eligible. A DWI will greatly reduce your chances you being accepted for military service. If you are accepted, you may be automatically disqualified for a number of jobs.

No military service will take you while you are on probation. PERIOD.
You'll need a waiver for the DUI, and most services these days are over strength so they don't have any inclination to issue them.
A diagnosis of bipolar depression is going to keep you out of the military as well. A prior hospitalization is going to be bad as well. You could try to prove that the diagnosis was in error, but it sounds like from your statements it isn't.
