What is the name of your state? CA

My son received a speeding ticket in California (different county than I live). He is in the military and has been deployed. I called the courts and I paid his fine, he is able to take the on-line traffic course, which he will do. My problem is that the court needs his signature on the certificate of completion. He is on ship in the gulf. Would a Power of Attorney allow me to sign my or his name to clear his traffic ticket?

Thanks for your input. Hopefully you can help me, or direct me in another direction.

Contact the Administrative Judge's Clerk of that Court, and ask him or her.
Be sure to document, date, time, and name of the Admin. Judge's Clerk.
