my name is ken, i live in illinois. i am the non custodial parent of 2 daughters. i am contemplating on filing a motion to reduce and modify support obligations. i currently pay 1250.00 a month in support payments. since i'm a small business owner i am in the process of restructuring my business in order to reduce my payments. the question i have is: would i be better off renting or leasing business related assets such as company vehicles, equipment, and services to offset and reduce my income, versus owning assets via traditional financing,as i currently do? will most judges accept these methods or will they overlook them? any comments, advice, or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks, ken
