What is the name of your state?CA My ex and I had 50/50 custody until January when the judge ordered that I have full temporary custody. Once full custody is established I want to seek child support. He is a contractor and will only work if he is paid under the table, he has not filed taxes in 3 years and has no bank accounts. He keeps all his money in the form of bank checks, when he was arrested in January he had about $175,000 in checks on him. If I can not prove that he has any income or any money is there a minimum amount of child support CA will make him pay?

i dont know about ca but to give you an example, and get ready to laugh, 25 a month is what is mandatory in arkansas, employers have to file the appropriate forms and turn them in when child support is involved. maybe getting in touch with his employer and letting them know that he must pay child support will help as they may not know that he has to. if they are willingly not doing this remind them that there may be reprecussions for their failure to do so.
