I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the current minimum wage is in Massachusetts, because I think that I am working for less. Thank you.

My response:

On Wednesday, February 2, 2000, the Senate passed a $1.00 an hour minimum wage increase. This bill would gradually increase the minimum wage to $5.50 an hour in March 2000, $5.85 in March 2001 and $6.15 in March 2002.

The minimum wage bill was added to S. 625 (the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1999) last November after Democrats were unsuccessful in their attempt to pass legislation raising the federal minimum wage. The Democratic alternative would have raised the minimum wage by $1.00 with two 50 cent increases over 13 months.
