WY corporation folks could not answer my question and I could not find any helpful info as for this. Can a minor/infant be the CEO or a Director of a corporation?
Q: WY corporation folks could not answer my question and I could not find any helpful info as for this. Can a minor/infant be the CEO or a Director of a corporation?
A: Yes. They just can't sign anything or be responsible for anything.
WYOMING BUSINESS CORPORATION ACT 17_16_802. Qualifications of directors.
The articles of incorporation or bylaws may prescribe qualifications for directors. A director need not be a resident of this state or a shareholder of the corporation unless the articles of incorporation or bylaws so prescribe. http://legisweb.state.wy.us/statutes/titles/17Title17_2006.htm#677
And contrary to the opinion of SJ... if the corporation articles or bylaws authorize that minor to sign on behalf of the corporation, he CAN "sign anything or be responsible for anything" done in his 'official duties'.
