What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Two weekends ago, I recieve a Minor in Possesion. I am 19 years old. My sister was driving my truck and we got pulled over. I am currently on driving probation for wreckless driving. We had a thirty and an eighteen pack of beer in the truck. Also, we had three or four empty beer cans hid under my passenger seat. My sister was sober driving us. I was charged with the MIP beaucse it was my vehicle. Now, I am worried that I will lose my license. I need my license for work, is that any way I can get a license just to and from drive to work and to drive the cars that I work on?

Your license is gone. No reputable shop is going to hire someone on a restricted license to drive customers' cars. Time to grow up.

Guess it is time for a new job, right ~ one that does not require you to get behind the wheel.

Depending on what you are convicted of, you will likely be losing your license for a year.

What code were you cited for?

By law the judge MAY grant you a restricted license with a critical need. For example, the judge may consider a critical need lettter - (maybe a letter from your employer explaining your need to drive and signed under penalty of perjury).

The judge will need to approve it. It is soley in his discretion to do so.
