What is the name of your state? California

What does it mean if there is an entry on a criminal record search that is described as "Minor Tarffic Infraction". My friend called the court house and they couldn't tell him what this was for (because it was from 1991). Is this for some kind of speeding ticket or reckless driving or something ?

It depends on the source.

In general, an infraction in CA is a criminal act punishable by a fine only. They are generally traffic violations.
