minor with drug possession

What is the name of your state? West Virginia

My son,15, was arrested on school property with possession of mushrooms(psylocybin). He is facing 2 felony charges and 2 misdemeanor charges. Possession of controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, and possesion of controlled substance on school property. The other misdemeanor charge I am not sure of. What is the worst case scenario? Can he be tried as an adult even though he will not be 16 till July?

He could be charged, but I don't think they'd charge him as an adult. If anything, they might recommend he be sent to a institute or something. :\
