Today’s(11.29.04) episode of _Batte_for_OzzFest_ raise a few questions that I need answers to.

A few episodes ago while in New Mexico some of the guys on the show came across some girls outside of their bus. When the girls asked if the guys if they were members of one of the performing bands. Jesse claimed to be the clown from Slip Knot. The girls then wanted to Jesse to sign their bodies. Kelly(another guy on the show) asked the girls for ID’s to make sure if they weren’t minors and the ID’s showed them all to be 19. Jesse signed “The Clown” on two of the girls breasts and one girls butt. Ozzy kicked Jesse off the show for his impersonating a Slip Knot member. Now in Wisconsin Kelly and a couple of other band members have been brought to a police station for questioning. It turns out two of the girls were 16 and the third was 15. The investigator said Jesse is now being charged with four counts of child molestation and that the other members are facing possible accomplice charges.

So here are my questions.

What are the charges that they face?

Can they be held liable even though they girls showed they were of age?

Can the girls get into trouble for using fake ID’s?

This episode got me thinking. I work in a privately owned Video store in South Carolina that rents adult videos. To open an account the client must be at least 18. Could I be held accountable if a 17 year old with a fake id saying was 18 opened an account and rented a porno?

Thanks for your Time.

If you run a video store that solely rents Adult Video's, then you should have known the laws. There are devices that scan a DL that inform you of the age, invest in one.

We don't solely rent adult video. We are like blockbuster but we have an adult section. I don't run the store I just a clerk. I now what the penialties are if i rent an adult film to someone that i know is under 17 (either by just renting it to them messing up the the math to calculate the age. I have never made that mistake). I'm assuming this is what I was asking but it wasn't.

The question that i want answered is:

Let's say a 17 year old with a fake ID that says he is 18 years of age uses that ID to rent an adult film. Does this mean Even though he had an ID that said he was of age does that make me legally responsible?

Thanks for your time
