I recently received a Minor in Possession violation over the 4th of July weekend in Newport Beach, CA. I have a few questions about how to go about handling it.

1) I was thrown into the ocean by some not so friendly friends with my ticket in my pocket, so all of the ink was washed away. I was wondering how I should go about finding out the information that used to be visible on my ticket.

2) I don't live in the state, and was wondering how long I can postpone the court date so that I will be back in the area and able to attend.

3) Since I am not a registered driver of California will I still lose my drivers license, but if so is it possible to have the charges reduced to a charge that will not result in a loss of driving privileges because I will need to commute to and from school and an internship.

Thanks for any help

Contact the Newport Beach police (or whichever agency gave you the ticket) and explain the situation. They should be able to get you a copy of the relevant information.
