MIP: Probation transfer to Canada?

I'm 18 and got an mip in march. I get sentenced in july, but I'm attending the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada in the fall. I was recommended for the deferral program, but I don't think it is possible to transfer misdemeanor probation for a mip to canada since mip's in canada are not criminal. I was wondering what my potential sentence might be (I'm leaving for Vancouver in mid-august).

Will I just have to take the charge or is unsupervised probation an option? I had a 3.99 gpa in high school. I have judge Asadoorian in rochester too. Plus I'm a duel citizen of US and Canada. My lawyer is clueless.

The court has a number of options, but transferring probation to Canada is not among them.

Chances are you will get the informal probation and be required to pay fines. Just make sure not to otherwise violate the terms of the probation by not paying fines or doing community service (if required). You might want to arrange for any service during summer or Holiday breaks.
