What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I received an MIP on the 17th of this month, what are my options and what can I do? It was in the city of lansing, I go to Michigan State. I am going to plead not guilty in the morning
Welcoming all advice.
Thanks in advance.

It really depends on the judge you get. Some will allow a diversion and some are 100% opposed to it. The worst is you take your lumps, pay the several hundred dollar fine and live with a criminal record for the rest of your life. The best the judge authorizes a diversion and you do some community service and get off without a conviction.

Your best bet would be to talk to a lawyer who is familiar with the particular court you are going to appear in. Michigan courts are very inconsistent on this issue.
