I'm in immediate need of sound legal advice and I was hoping perhaps you might point me in the right direction. I've been attempting to find an attorney to file suit on my behalf for damages my family suffered when a handful of over-zealous police intentionally killed and mutilated my pets and destroyed my property (and my life) under the guise of an ill-conceived search warrant based entirely on a false statement made by a convicted felon (my neighbor) in exchange for leniency regarding a probation violation. The police acted impulsively and without evidence of a crime. The search warrant failed to meet the legal criteria and no evidence of criminal activity was ever discovered, nor presented against me. Drug charges were pursued against me based on innuendo and false claims made by police referring to baking soda they had scattered throughout my home, claiming it to be a "suspicious powder." In the course of a year, the case was passed down to every prosecutor on staff because the judge refused to dismiss it for fear of discrediting the integrity of the judge who signed the warrant. Only after the statutes had expired was the case finally dismissed. It then took three months and a court order to make the police return my confiscated weapons. Meanwhile, I served 21 days in prison without a change of clean clothing and I was refused affordable bond in their attempt to coerce a confession from me. They ransacked my home and left it open to looters, leaving some of my property strewn about the yard and even in the street. The police made false and intentionally misleading statements to my landlord and the local newspaper with claims that I had committed crimes I wasn't even charged with, resulting in my immediate eviction and loss of employment, among other humiliations. I was denied the opportunity to defend myself during my eviction hearing and I was given only 96 hours to vacate my home. I lost nearly everything I owned. I've made an exhaustive search to find legal representation in this matter, but there isn't an attorney within 200 miles that's willing to discuss the matter with me at any price. The few attorney's I've found elsewhere, requested retainer fees exceeding the $70,000 dollars in physical and economic damages I had suffered. The one attorney I found willing to take the case lived in Utah and practiced in Arizona. But after several weeks of building a very effective case, she became almost obsessed with me on a personal level, calling me at all hours, several times a day and insisting that I move onto her property for what she called, "My own protection.". When I tried to cool her heels, she became irrate, dropped my case and ripped off part of my father's $5,000 retainer fee. This has been the most incredible nightmare I've ever experienced and I'm at the end of my rope. I don't know who to turn to and the deadline for filing charges against the municipality expires in July. I'm beyond desperation, is there any guidance you can offer me to try and salvage what's left of any legal rights I may have had ? Your thoughts and comments, whether personal or professional, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Most Sincerely,
