My 19 y/o cousin and his buddy were arrested in Utah, they currently attend college in Wyoming, their home address is Indiana. My cousin was charged with 'possession and consumption of alcohol' - fine:$500. His friend was charged with the same, plus 'possession of a controlled substance', 'possession of paraphernalia', and 'criminal mischief' - fine:$4000. They were each given an arrest ticket with a court date and released. Since neither of them can afford to pay, they are considering skipping the court date. They believe if they never return to Utah, they will be okay. What will happen to them if they pursue this course of action? If they ever get pulled over in WY or IN, what will happen? I would like to know best and worst case scenarios.
