My sister bought a 1997 Dodge Caravan and informed the used dealership that she was looking for a reliable and safe vehicle for herself and her three young children. Well after ten days the van broke down. The mechanic told her that the van had been in a major accident (she was told by the dealership that it had been in a minor accident) When she called to complain to the dealership there first told her as is...then agreed to pay 50% of the repair costs, then said that they would pay for the entire bill....the transmission needed to be replaced. This seems nice of them but I am concerned that the frame may be damaged and that could be lethal in another accident. If the frame is damaged...did they have any right selling the car in the first place? If so, what should my sister do? Are there any laws for that? It does not show up under the Lemon Law
