I live in Pennsylvania, my adult son was in a single vehicle accident. He came upon two deer in the middle of the road and the accident resulted in serious injury. He was driving a 1995 BMW 318ti which he purchased from a used car dealer @ 3 months ago. The drivers side air bag did deploy. When I went to the garage to get his belongings from the car, I noticed that the passengers side air bag was missing. The canister was there but there was no air bag. Does he have any recourse against the
dealer that sold him the car??

I would assume that the car was involved in an accident at some time in its history and the airbag was NOT replaced.

You would need to determine the following:
1) What if any damage occured as a result of the 'missing' airbag?
2) Was the vehicle involved in an accident that caused deployment of the passenger air bag??
3) Who did the repairs on the vehicle (including replaced the airbag, if applicable)?

The person who was paid to repair the vehicle is the one responsible if any compensible damage occured.
